Christopher Channing

First Vice President (Legislative & Outreach Chair), Goodhue County Court Administrator

Chris Channing is the Court Administrator in Goodhue County, First Judicial District. He has held this position since 2015. Previously, Chris held the positions of Court Business System Coordinator, Civil Records Supervisor, Scheduling Clerk, and File Clerk. He has worked in the Minnesota Judicial Branch since 2005 and was previously employed in Massachusetts as an Associate Probation Officer(1998-2005). He has been an active member of this Committee since 2015 and is also a member of the Bylaws Committee(2011-present). Previously he served on the Membership Services Committee (2008-2011).

Chris holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree from Charter Oak State College in Political Science and Criminal Justice (2007) and also earned his Master of Public Administration from Hamline University (2011). He also is a certified court manager by the National Center for State Courts and is a graduate of the first Edge Program. In addition he has served as a mentor in the Merging Minds program.

Chris is originally from Chicopee, MA but now resides in St. Paul , MN with his wife, their three kids and two dogs. He is also a volunteer at the Dorothy Day Center and a Youth sports Coach for the City of St. Paul.
